The EA have requested low flows in order to carry out essential river works in the North Tyne; this work is proposed to take place week commencing 14 September 2026 and will take up to 2 days. This is currently provisional based on river levels being elevated, if river levels remain low then the project team will utilise the programmed release and will not require a change in flows from the schedule’
